Update On Weight Loss!

So, it's almost the end of September! I have to admit....I took most of September off. I stayed pretty dedicated til Collin's birthday (September 8th) then after that I got so overwhelmed with scheduling a tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy, switching out summer clothes for winter clothes (that was almost a whole week job), cleaning the house and various other Dr appointments. I'm not eating the healthiest...BUT....I'm not eating in massive quantities anymore. We ordered Chinese (FINALLY) and I could barely eat a bowl full. Which is a LOT for me since I used to eat at LEAST 2 HUGE bowls full! I've stopped working out so much also. It's just too much. I want to continue loosing weight but I can't let it keep consuming my life this way. The house was a NIGHTMARE. The laundry was NEVER done and every time hubby was home, I just felt I couldn't enjoy cause everything else was such a nightmare. So, now that my house is clean, clothes are switched out, rooms are clean etc.....I'm dedicating more time to eating better. Theo left of Kentucky today and he'll be gone til Wednesday. So I'm kinda crash dieting to see what I can loose by the time he comes back home. I'm at 270lbs exactly. I've been wanting to drop down into the 60's but it hasn't happened yet. Even though I've not eaten the best, I haven't gained any weight. So that's good. Hopefully I can at LEAST get to 268lbs by the time Theo's home. I love that every piece of clothing I put on now fits appropriately. I don't have to worry about whether a shirt will be too tight and will show all my fat rolls. Now I can just put on any shirt or pants! It's SO nice! Down side though....I have NO clothes!!!! After packing away all maternity clothes...I'm left with about 2 pairs of pants, and only 1 long sleeve shirt. The rest or short sleeve and hoodies. Lame! But I can't go crazy buying clothes now. Cause I still have so much to loose, if I buy clothes now they'll become too big soon enough. So I've lost a total of 22lbs since August 1st. I'm still very happy with those results. I've lost a total of 3inches on my waist alone!!!!! That is SO awesome! Anyways, on Wednesday I have a sleep study then October 18th I will be having my tonsils removed. Then I won't be able to eat so I'm hoping to drop a decent amount of weight then as well! :) I'm pretty confident that by the time it's time to take Christmas photo's....a bit over a month away.....I'll be able to go to Old Navy and pick out an outfit directly from the store!!!! I won't have to order online cause I'm too big for what they carry in store! :)

The Big 'Ol 1!!!!

Collin Henry is now a whole ONE year old! I cannot believe it. At all! I honestly feel that due to the postpartum depression, that I missed out on most of his year. I didn't get to hold him right after birth because he had to be rushed to the NICU. Then he spent almost a week hooked up to machine's and etc. So even his first week of life, we didn't really get to be together. So, anyways, I just feel that a whole year has been cheated from me. But here we are. 1 year later. Of course I'm writing this blog late...but better late then never, right? Let's get to business! :) Collin Henry Scheungrab is now 1 year old! Favorite Foods: Anything! Seriously, he doesn't seem to favor anything. He just likes food and eats it ALLLLL the time. *He only eats soft foods...he's not quite a pro yet at food* Favorite Toys: Besides his binky his favorite toy would be the doodle board or one of the toy cell phones. Favorite Person: That would be his big brother Isaiah. Close second would be his Momma! :) Words He Can Say: Momma, Dadda (most frequent), Isaiah (A-yaa), Eat-Eat, Night-Nights (Nigh-Nigh) *He can also nod his head yes or shake his head no* Weight: 21lbs 1oz Height: 30 3/6 inches Walking or Crawling: He CAN walk and is getting more efficient at it...but he mostly prefers to crawl if he's lazy or wants to get someone where fast. Funny Quirks: If you laugh, he mimics you! In fact, he's quite the mimicking King. He likes to be a copy cat and mimic sounds and laughter. Teeth: He has 4 on top and a nice size gap between his top two teeth. It's super cute! On the bottom he only has 3. So 7 teeth altogether! Nicknames: Ceebs is the main one we use. He also goes by CeeBees, Stinky, Monkey-Butt, Fat Boy (cause he's SO far from fat) and Brother (Brudder-is what Isaiah calls him) Other:As of 9-27-12 He got his first haircut! He moved and wiggled around so much. Normally I would've cut it, but I had someone come over and cut my hair, so she just went ahead and did Collin's! He looks SOOOO much better now. *I'm not one of those sentimental mother's that saves the hair* In general, Collin is a very fun loving boy. He likes to cuddle with his Momma. Laugh and roll around with his brother. He cries if Daddy comes home and doesn't come over RIGHT away to pick him up. He LOVES to instigate trouble. You'll occasionally catch him doing something to stir up trouble and he'll just sit back and watch it all unfold. Not a very nice trait. He's also VERY defiant. Little Stinker will KNOW not to do something and will do it anyways. He doesn't like spankings but gets spanked more than Isaiah did at this age. He also is VERY clingy to Momma. If I walk out of the room for 2 seconds he cries. He'd rather ride around all day on my hip. Too bad I have a life besides him. lol As for birthday celebrations. We just invited people who are actively in his life over for Pizza, Cake and Ice Cream. We decorated the house and bought him a helium balloon. That was THE best gift he'd EVER had. He loved that balloon. We tied it to his play pin and he had a blast with it for 2 days until it finally gave way to abuse and deflated. LOL People who came over were Maddy and Bryan, LaToya, Kennedy and Kassidy, Payton and Anthony Powell. Grandma Lois was going to come, but ended up not feeling well. But she sent gifts for both boys! :) Elissa and Rusty Robinson also swung by to say their happy wishes! :) Overall, Collin is a VERY happy energetic healthy boy! I look forward to seeing his personality more and more.

"T" is my favorite letter!

So I was thinking today. I realized today was Tuesday!!!!!! Tuesday of course starts with a "T". Then I realized...OMG! Tuesday is my Turkey Taco Salad and TV night!!!! Everything (but Salad) starts with "T". As I thought more about it I realized how much I love the letter "T". Theodore Scheungrab's name starts with a "T" and he is by far one of my favorite people EVERRRRR! :) I have a good friend, Treneka, her name starts with my favorite letter. Of course I have other awesome friends...but as I was pondering things, I just realized "T" must just be my letter! :) Cause Tuesday is Turkey Taco Salad Night and all my favorite television shows come on! :) Sadly none of my shows on Tuesday start with "T". But that's okay! I'll take my Tuesday, TV, Theodore and Treneka any day! :)

A Weekend of Bliss!

So this past weekend I decided to take off from dieting and exercising. I was SO crazy to think I could go a whole month. I did SO well most of this month, but to be honest. I got SO past exhausted emotionally and physically. It is seriously near a full time job to workout AND control every single thing you eat. Make sure you're drinking enough water. Making sure you're eating all the right foods etc. My house was seriously lacking. Since August 1st I really hadn't taken a real day off. If I didn't workout, I was busy cleaning the house from top to bottom. Because like I said, dieting and exercising is near a full time job which means my house lacked SEVERELY. So anytime I had a day off, I would clean, do laundry, cook etc. So it makes sense that I wouldn't last a whole month. Of course, I also have 2 boys to tend to. So I just decided that if I didn't want to revert to my old ways, I'd better take a couple days off and try and relax as much as possible. So, I took the whole weekend. Now that I'm almost done with the month of August, I'm thinking I might just take at least 2 of the 3 weekend days off. Because one of those days I'm sure I'll be cleaning the house. Then the other one I can rest. For exercising anyways. As far as the diet, I'm pretty sure I'll just keep going and whenever I feel like caving, just cave but on a small scale. This whole "Getting Healthy" experience really is such a learning experience. It's a challenge and you just learn things left and right. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, nope! You don't! God's showing you something else you need to tackle. It really is exhausting. So I'm happy I had the weekend off. I'm not 100% sure whether I'll workout today, BUT.....the diet has started up again. Oh joy! LOL

Bye Bye Binky!

We have big news in the Scheungrab household! Isaiah Brent Scheungrab gave up his binky on Thursday, August 16, 2012!!!!! At 2 1/2 years of age he no longer needs a binky to sleep. Since he turned one he had only ever gotten it when he slept and on sick days. So in order for Isaiah to give up a binky, we settled on the plan Theo's mother suggested to us. Taking him to a toy store and allowing him to pick out a toy in replacement of the binky. So on Thursday we headed out to Toys R Us. First of all, let me note. Theo thought this trip was about him....apparently. He kept saying (like an excited 2 year old) "Oh oh! Isaiah should get this!" "Oh oh! Isaiah should get that!" I calmly reminded him that this trip was NOT for him and it was for Isaiah. Also we needed Isaiah to find a toy he REALLY liked else it wouldn't work. So after an hour of searching around the whole store....we found the Playmobile section! Isaiah decided he wanted the Playmobile Police Car and School Bus. They have lights that actually light up with NO SOUND!!!! *gasp* (Whoever creates Playmobile toys certainly has the parents best interests at heart! haha)So when he decided he wanted them and we decided that he would REALLY play with them, I got down on eye level with Isaiah. He had been carrying his binky around in his shirt pocket. Before we even went on this trip I explained to him that we would go pick out new toys and he'd have to give up his binky but it was because he was big boy etc etc. So when I got down on his level I said "You want these toys? What do you have to give Momma if you want the toys?" He pulled his binky out of his pocket and handed it over without only a thought of digging into his new toys. I explained to him that now that Momma has the binky that means it's no longer his. Here's where something soooo unexpected happened. My voice cracked and tears started streaming down my face. I was NOT prepared for that AT ALL! But low and behold...Momma was the one crying of the loss of a binky and Isaiah and Theo stood around looking at me bewildered! After we got home, he eagerly ripped into his new toys! When it came to bedtime however....we experienced a bit of a....well.....anger fit. We allowed Isaiah to take his toys to bed and were talking it up about him being a big boy and loving his new toys. He happily settles into bed and requests his binky. Imagine the shock when he was informed he couldn't have it. He threw the most angry fit he's ever thrown. He threw his toys at Theo and screamed that he wanted his binky back! Which of course...this action alone ended in a spanking. So it took him a good 15min to stop crying and just go to sleep. Let us note that he is still allowed to have his "Nuggers" which is a small blanket type thing that he sleeps with. So, after the first night, Isaiah has successfully gone to sleep with no crying. Occasionally he'll mention "No binky! I a big boy!" and I just tell him how happy I am that he's such a big boy and I love him. And he happily goes to sleep with his Nuggers. So Isaiah Brent, my first born child....is officially no longer a baby. :( Makes me sad, but I also find joy in the fact that he's moving on and growing. Thank you God for giving me a very healthy happy boy who grows and learns more and more each day! :) Here's a couple of picture of his "Binky-Replacement Toys". Also a sentimental picture of what used to comfort him to sleep. :)
Here is also a video of a clip from a Sesame Street Episode Isaiah saw awhile back. He sings the song pretty often. Thank you Sesame Street for making the "weeing off binky process" so much easier! :)

Thank you Pinterest!

So I haven't been able to blog lately. I've wanted to, but honestly, errands, working out, dieting...has seriously taken up ALL my time. I'm exhausted. I think I finally hit a wall where I seriously can't find energy to do ANYTHING! The past two days have just been....blah! Anyways....so this evening (since Theo's at work and won't be home til Monday AND I have a hard time sleeping while he's away) I decided to pop on Pinterest to find some NEW inspiration. I think I might be slightly exhausted with all the workouts I've been doing thus far. So this blog is dedicated to Pinterest. Thank you for allowing a nice little website where I can go and find different exercises to do so that I'm not bored with doing this same thing over and over again! Here's to starting tomorrow off on a new foot! New workouts here I come!!!!! :)

Family Walks

So, since I've started this whole "Get Healthy" kick I've initiated "Family Walks". It's done us SO much good. Granted the boys are too little to really participate, besides riding in a stroller, but we're all together, outdoors...getting healthy. I do have to say sometimes, I allow Isaiah out at the end and he runs with me. The sad part of that story, is that Isaiah nearly beats me in running. hahaha! I can run faster then him BUT he has more endurance. hahaha! But that won't last for long. And he loves it. So I can't really burst his bubble. hehehe! Anyways, I'm very happy that I've had the strength and encouragement to just get out there. I've spent so many years being lazy. This year has definitely been a year of changes for me. And it's been good for our family. Theo really enjoys the walks too. Although he wishes we were running it's still more than sitting on a couch. It allows us something else to do. That doesn't cost anything! :) On a side note, we took a picture of my body today. You can tell there's changes. And by October (which is Christmas picture taking time) I will hopefully show VAST improvement from last year's Christmas Photo! So that's encouraging! :)
