Isaiah Brent-16mo Update

So I figured even though Isaiah's not exactly 16mo, I would still do an update now in case Mr Collin decides to make his appearance any time soon.

As of 7-27-11 Isaiah Brent will be 16mo old! Where has time gone?

His favorite person is still Dadda. Though Uncle Patrick is a VERY close second and might become the top at any point. lol

He has been more cuddly with his Momma! Which Momma is totally and completely loving.

His favorite food is still Banana's. Though he does enjoy the typical foods like Pizza, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, French Fries and Apple Sauce.

He is 31lbs.

His new best friend is Anthony Powell who is an 11 year old who lives next door. He adores A-ya and plays with him every chance he gets! lol

His talking improves every day. He mimics words/sounds. His new words are "Crackas"(crackers), "Ke-go"(Eggos) and I think that's it. But if you ask him to say something...he can make a very good sounding of what you said, even if it doesn't exactly sound right. LOL

He is starting to step up stairs without holding on. So he's learning to balance VERY well.

His favorite character is still very much Elmo! Though he's starting to show interest in other shows.

He can sort of jump. Not entirely, but he bounces!

His favorite thing to do with Dadda is "work-out" While Dadda works out, Isaiah mimics his moves! LOL

His favorite thing to do with Momma is climb up in her big blue recliner and cuddle! FINALLY!

He still very much loves to cuddle. Not necessarily with anyone, but any pillow, fluffy carpet, blanket...he loves to just snuggle on in. It's super cute.

He makes the most hilarious facial expression and is actually starting to resemble Momma a bit more these days! :)

His biggest compliment...his smile! And how happy and cute he is!

He is a MAJOR flirt! He will blow kisses at pretty women, try and wink, and take their hand and try and bring them home. We're in trouble.

He's super dramatic like his name sake. haha! He fake cries. It's pathetic. haha!

He can walk by a picture of someone he knows and point to it without prompt and know that person is familiar! Often times he'll attempt to say their name. These are mostly family members.

He can sorta count 1-2-3. He mimics it and it mostly sounds like "2-2-3" LOL!

His favorite song is still Itsy-Bitsy Spider, though Wheels on The Bus is a VERY close 2nd.

He loves outside!

I believe that's it! If I think of more I'll add them! :)

Let's See.....

Well I have supposedly have linked my blog to my Facebook profile. We'll see....this is a test to see if it works!

Pregnancy Oh Pregnancy!

So I was thinking about it and after reading other people's blogs I decided I would finally do it. I need to try and stay more updated on my blog because I don't keep up a baby book or anything else. Anyways, I wanted to go ahead and type so far the differences between my two pregnancies. I'm 8 months pregnant with Collin and so I figure now's a good time!

So BIGGEST difference between Isaiah and Collin....Isaiah's pregnancy drug on and on....and on and on....and on and on....and I'm sure you get the point! Collin's pregnancy has just flown by. I find it hard to believe that I'm 8months pregnant! I mean...besides the fact that I feel TONS of lower pressure and all of that jazz, but I just don't know here 8months has gone!

With Isaiah I had absolutely not a drop of heartburn or indigestion. Nothing! With Collin I have had indigestion and heartburn the WHOLE pregnancy! Even before I knew I was pregnant! Joy!

With Isaiah my boobs hurt beyond BELIEF! And they also swelled to more than I thought I'd EVER see them get. With Collin....nothing! It's wonderful! At this point in my pregnancy with Isaiah I was literally clutching onto my boobs for dear life every time we had to get into the car to go some where. It was SO painful! I'm enjoying this part of Collin's pregnancy immensely!

With Isaiah I slept all of the time! Literally! All day and all night! With Collin....psht...maybe I get 8hrs of sleep at night. And sometimes I take a nap. Once I hit about 7.5mo naps did start feeling like more a necessity, but I still don't take one every day. And it's normally only 1hr long. Maybe 2.

This next part is probably tmi for people...so be warned! With Isaiah...I NEVER wanted to be touched. The thought of sex literally repulsed me! It was terrible! And that was our 1st year of marriage. Thankfully God gave me a VERY understanding husband. It was hard but we made it through! :) With Collin....wowzers! The beginning when I didn't really have a belly yet....it was wonderful! I had sexual desire THROUGH the roof! lol! It was bliss! My sexual appetite has decreased a bit, but it's still pretty high for someone who has a HUGE belly and is 8mo pregnant! LOL! It's wonderful! God certainly did treat us well this time around with pregnancy! ;)

With Isaiah, he did NOT seem to want to ever come out! EVER! At 27 weeks Collin was already trying to make his appearance. LOL We've managed to hold off til 32 weeks so far. We'll see how much longer we last.

When I was pregnant with Isaiah I peed ALLLLLL of the time! My bladder couldn't hold ANYTHING. With Collin as much as I pee a lot still, I can hold more and it's not as frequent. A luxury I am quite enjoying!

So I believe that is it. But I am happy I had time to do this! :) If I think of more I'll add it later on.

We're Upgrading To Cloth Diapering!

So! In case no one's noticed by my excited status', we've decided to move to using cloth diapers this time around!!!! I am SO freaking excited!!!!! We just finished ordering our first set. We ordered 6 size small gDiapers! We will have them in blue, green and brown. They arrive today!!!! I can't wait! I've realized a few things thanks to a blog site my friend told me about! If you wanna read up on it, it's here..... http://www.younghouselove.com/2010/08/the-much-requested-cloth-diaper-post/ It's been SUPER helpful! Anyways, I realized that we have made the right choice! I know we haven't actually tried it yet, still waiting for Collin to make his apperance, but I know this is going to work out so well for us. Also, I do appreciate saving the environment and all, but the MAIN reason for us doing this is to save ourselves some money. If you have a baby, you know how expensive buying diapers every 2ish weeks can be! It'll make you go broke alone! LOL I do appreciate saving my planet in all, but I will not save my planet at the expense of me having to put out more energy then neccesary. My family comes first. If I'm so busy saving the planet I'm runing out of energy to tend to my family, there's a problem. LOL Cloth diapers have NOT seemed energy friendly to me, up until I discovered the WONDERFUL Bum Genius diapers! The SPECIFIC Bum Genius diapers that are the 4.0 version with snaps and are....*drum roll please*....ONE SIZE FITS ALL!!! WHAT?!?!?! This was a HUGE bonus to me! Being that I tend to have little porker babies, I dreamed of a day that my son didn't outgrow a diaper over night and we lost out on almost a whole box of disposable diapers. Oh sure we were able to give it to someone who could use them...but uhm...where does that save us any money?! Yea...it doesn't! When I found Bum Genius diapers I fell in LOVE! I knew I could make these work! Also.....there are these VERY handy little things called DISPOSABLE LINERS! OMG! What?! And they're eco friendly! Biodegradable, flushable....amazing basically. So....even if I got a bit overwhelmed by cloth diapering full on....there was a bonus! The disposable liners were still cheaper than buying disposable diapers! Also, I'd have to say.....another obsticle I foresaw was....dun dun dun....THE HUSBAND! lol What would he say? Can he do it? Will he understand why it's a good option? etc etc. I one day exclaimed to him out of pure excitment "I've decided I'm going to do cloth diapering!" with pure shock on his face he replied "PSHT! You're on your own!" Sent my world crumbling. "What?!" lol He explained he did not want anything to do with it. He had heard from a friend that it really doesn't save all that much money and it's stinky and gross and he wanted nothing to do with it. Well! What was I supposed to do? Thankfully we had a friend who was currently nannying a cloth diapered baby! HALLELUJAH! My husband was remembering the old days where you used one cloth and pins for cloth diapering. Well....little did he knw the cloth diapering would had moved up! After having a demonstration show (using cloth diapers and a baby doll) he then became converted. "I didn't know they were like that!" he replied. lol Yes! It really IS that easy! So now that we had hubby on board the next thing to tackle was "How do we afford all of this?!" For anyone who might have done even the slightest bit of research, you know right off....cloth diapers are EXPENSIVE! Right now Bum Genius 4.0 One Size Fits All with snaps run at $18 a piece. Not too bad...but to buy at least 12 of them? And really....our goal number is 18-24 because we do NOT want to wash diapers ever 2 days. Our goal is to wash clothes/diapers every 3-4 days. Well in order to do that we need about 18-24. I'd LOVE 24...but I'll settle with 18. Well since deciding all of this I have religiously stalked any cloth diapering site I could find. Looking for sales. These sales also needed to coincide with pay day. Well FINALLY there was a sale that I could take part in. Off of Diapers.com. BUT...they were for the gDiapers. Now....I've mentioned I'm in LOVE with the Bum Genius diapers. But, through my extensive research, another diaper I thought I could get into were the gDiapers. The gDiapers did have velcro (which I'm not a fan of, cause velcro wears out) and were NOT one size fits all. However....gDiapers are the easiest to access. For example, they are sold IN STORES at Babies R Us! Everything you need for them is right there. So I was able to go in and get my hands on them. Also...they get some of THE best reviews. I hardly hear any problems with them. So I thought...Mmmm...these I could do! Well Diapers.com was having a great sale on them. 3 for $39 and FREE SHIPPING! So we ordered 6 smalls. Now, I really want to buy the rest in Bum Genius. But....if Bum Genius doesn't start having a sale I'm going to have to figure something else out. So because my husband and I can't afford a huge one time expensive, we've decided to slowly edge into it. That's why we chose to buy the smalls. Now, with Collin more than likely making his apperance early, there is major doubt that he will be a 10lb baby. LOL however if I go full term I'm pretty sure we won't be able to use the smalls at all. BUT this is the plan. If Collin is born too early we'll have to temporarily use disposable's. He has to be at least 7lbs for the cloth diapers to fit correctly. That's fine with us. Meanwhile....we will continue to watch sales and slowly build up our supply. I'm so eager to cloth diaper I want it all now. But funds say "no" lol We also need to buy a wet bag (you can read about those in the blog) and a trash pail for the disposable wipes. I do not want to use re-usable wipes. I have absolutely no desiere to. Maybe one day. But not today. lol So, I thought I would put out a short note/blog (I'm publishing this in my blog too!) to share my excitment and maybe convert some of you pregnant women/women with little babies, to the cloth diapering side! Oh! I would have to say....another motivation to do this...we HAVE a washer dryer. If we were still in an apartment with no washer/dryer...there's NO way I would even consider this! Not one bit! NO way! So! I if anyone would like to donate any used cloth diapers/liners/pails/wet bags/money to the "Hannah And Theo Take On Cloth Diapering" feel free!!! Also....if you happen to hear of a sale...or a friend trying to get rid of theres.....think of me! :) Let us know! You can guy the Bum Genius Diapers online at Target as well (That's convienant) Babies R Us Sells the gDiapers. Soooo.....any donation for us to cloth diaper will be SO greatly appreciated! :) Thanks for reading! OH! If you have any questions, let me know! :)

Let's Stay Positive.....

So I've decided that instead of blogging about why I'm upset, or whatever problems I have, that I'm going to focus on positive things of today! Let's start with Isaiah was AMAZING today!!!!!! He was a BIT cranky when we woke up, but after we actually both woke up...he was totally amazing! He was fun all day. He and I played together. We went shopping and he loved it! He was also VERY cuddly! Ugh! It was bliss! He kept coming up to me and hugging me! Also whenever I sat in my recliner he'd come over and climb in my lap. It's SO nice to be able to cuddle with him and have him "like" me! If Theo's around I don't exist! Although today...when Theo got home, he still was pretty attached to me. So that is something to be VERY grateful for! Also, Isaiah and I had a semi-Patriotic dinner. We had hot dogs! :) He loved it! So that's something to be grateful for. So far today I haven't gone into labor! That's another thing to be grateful for! One more day of gestating for Collin is ALWAYS good. hahaha! I also was able to clean the bathroom, the kitchen and get some laundry done! So I was pretty productive. That's something to be thankful of! ALSO! I got to see SOOOOO many Fireworks from just my front porch! It was sooo nice! They like their Fireworks loud here...which kinda hurts my ears...HOWEVER...apparently they barely have illegal Fireworks here. So I got to see GOOD ones! Like up in the sky ones! :) So......now that I've blogged about positive...I do feel better. I feel like focusing on positive is what's best for now! Soooo there it is! :)
