Really, the title of this blog isn't exactly an indication of what I'm talking about. I wanted to talk about the new Ninja Blender I bought the other day. When trying to figure out a good title to this post, I honestly just felt like being cheesy and stupid. Hey! It's been a heck of a long week and it's Sunday. I'm allowed to just throw my hands up and be like "Whatevs!", right? haha
So, more on topic with less cheesiness. I bought a Ninja blender at Costco the other day! Oh my word! It's changed my life! For awhile now, I've wanted a new blender. About a year ago, I got hooked on making the kids and I smoothies. I hate veggies and so do they. So what more of a perfect way to get them, then by masking them with fruity, chilled goodness? However, that didn't last long. Why? Not because I got bored of the "trend" as my husband would call it. But because the blender that we had sucked. Not just a little sucked. Like, full blown I'm going to repeatedly bash this blender into a wall, sucked. It would always take me a good 30 minutes to get all the ingredients blended. Try ice? Oh no! No no no....did I mention NO? I gave up. Blender-1 Hannah-0 I continued to live my life veggie free. Well, as I wrote in my last blog I liked to keep my eye out for things I'm in need of. I like to sit back. Listen to friends and their reviews. All in all....just sit like a tiger in the bushes, waiting to pounce on it's prey. For awhile now, I've decided I wanted a Ninja! But there was zero chance of me convincing Theo that we needed to spend that much money for one. Especially when he continues to use that piece of crap blender we already have. Imagine my surprise when waltzing into Costco the other day (Okay, can I take a quick break here? Does anyone ever waltz into Costco? Like, seriously? No....if you are a Mom....you literally grab that extra heavy duty two seater plus size grocery cart and you book it. You have a mission and a list. "No thank you! I don't need your stupid sample, I've already bought that 10x's by now. Also...I'm on a diet.") when BOOM right there in front of my face! Behold! The Ninja blender in it's full on set of glory for the low low price of $135.00! I heard angels singing. I stopped in my tracks. I had a friend with me and she was talking to me. No clue what she was saying! I near caused a 10 cart pile up due to my swerving frantic hurry to actually get to the thing to see if it was true! The set came with everything you could imagine. Anything you could possibly dream of! A food processor. The Nutri Ninja cups (3 of them)all with super easy sip lids to drink your smoothies comfortably. The actual big blender part. I mean. Just glory hallelujah! I called my husband. "Babe! They have the Ninja! We must act now! Buy buy buy! Spend money money money! Fad Fad Fad!!!" That's what my husband will tell you the phone call sounded like. Of course that's not what I actually said. His response was "We don't need to spend $135.00! You spend spend spend. More more more. I never support your one week fads." Of course that'd be what I heard. haha Of course, that's not what he said! However, forgetting the sarcasm, I asked him to research it real quick and let me know if it truly was a good price. Because after our Keurig purchase, we discovered, sometimes Costco really is unbeatable. When they bundle it all up so nicely and throw in extra things...Christmas! Pure Christmas in a box! Anyways! I continue my shopping when I receive a text once I'm to the beer isle. (coincidence, maybe?) "It appears it's a fairly good deal." (that's exact text quote) The angels sing! I picture myself, a fan blowin my hair back, while I run in slow motion back to the front of the store, the spot light on me, of course my outfit is a stunning combination of lazy mom and cool mom and I'm 4 sizes smaller, people are staring, music is playing......okay! *disc scratch* What was I saying? Oh! Yeah! He said yes! That was his way of saying yes anyways! I calmly finish my shopping and head back up to the front to get my Christmas in a box. Isn't it funny how much things change when you're an adult? Seriously! They change. If you would've given me a blender for Christmas as a child. Psht! You'd be off my list in a hot second! "A Blender? No thanks! Where's my Barbie at foo'?!?!" So, yes! I bought a Ninja! I have been so excited to sleep at night, because it means waking up to use the Blender another day! Words cannot express the excitement! I've made a Strawberry Daiquiri, 2 smoothies and a coffee drink thus far. I need to work on tweaking my recipes. But I'm more than happy to do that with my new Ninja!
NINJA OUT!
*note* I'm obviously in a very weird mood to share my inner most daydreams. Bundled with sarcasm and cheesiness. Please take full advantage of this because I'm not sure when I'll be in the mood next. Ha!
