I'm going to just copy and paste the note I put up on Facebook! It pretty much summarizes our birth story! Then after that I'll give an update! :)
Hello All! First of all, I just want to thank everyone who is so sweet and kind to call/txt/FB me! I am seriously so grateful! It's a blessing to know that so many people are in support of me and my growing little family. I know a lot of you were probably expecting replies from the txts but I just didn't have the energy for it. After surgery I did really REALLY well. Actually. Ok! Let's just go ahead and start from the beginning. First of all, it was a GREAT thing that the car ride to the hospital was my last car ride being pregnant. It seriously about pushed me off edge. Every time I've dared get in a car this week, I've paid for soooo much. Mostly with back pain. But also a lot of pelvic pressure too. So, I was SO very happy when that car ride was over. haha! Once here, they got me right in, hooked up to monitors etc just to make sure C and I were doing good. My blood pressure was great and my blood sugars were slightly elevated, but that was probably due to the fact that I wasn't allowed to eat past midnight. The c-section that was ahead of me ran about an 1hr behind. So basically Theo and I just chilled out, cat napped and watched some tv. lol Then, it was really weird for me. But they made me walk to the O.R. Hahaha! Last time I was wheeled in on a bed. Anyways, they were all so nice. BIG difference in my last c-section. I sat myself up on the table. They gave me a spinal tap shot which worked AMAZINGLY!!! I was nervous about feeling pain, but I actually felt nothing. The only problems I had was at times it felt like I couldn't breath, and that was scary. They basically just spoke to me calmly and helped me breath slowly. Then I also dealt with a HUGE nausea episode! That was scary! It about sent me into a panic, but they gave me something for that and after that I was fine! I could feel as soon as they pulled Collin out! (No pain!) He cried RIGHT AWAY! I'm pretty sure he was mad at us for taking him out! LOL!!! I definitely cried this time around. I kept saying "Does he have hair?!?! Does he have hair?!?!" They brought him around so I could see! And YES!!!!!! He has curly dark brown hair! :) Maybe not as much as Isaiah has now, but he has a decent amount! I was SOOOO happy I was crying! LOL! They were all like "OMG! How much does he weigh?! He's huge! Weigh him!" LOL!!!! Yes....he was a whopping 9lbs 5oz! No wonder I had so much pain. It's not like we didn't know he was gonna be big though. But this means he basically beat his brother in weight. Isaiah was 9lbs 7oz at 40 weeks and Collin was 9lbs 5oz at a week earlier than that. haha! So chances are at 40...Collin would've been 10lbs. LOL! Anyways, so we still don't have a height measurment on him. They sucked as much water out as they could from his lungs, but he was only in the OR for maybe....5min...before they wisked him right away to the NICU. So......the deal is.....Collin's lungs apparently are a bit underdeveloped. He retained a lot of water in them and being that he wasn't delivered vaginally he really had no help to help squeeze it out. As soon as he was born the Pedatrician said she knew he was gonna struggle. Apparently he kept changing body colors really fast. So when they took him to their small NICU nursery they hooked him up to oxygen and this other thing that is supposed to coat the lungs with a soapiness so that it's easier for him to clear it out. The pediatrician was hoping he'd be better this morning, but she said it doesn't look like he's made much progress. There aren't many pictures because they let me kiss him and take a couple with our camera before they took him away, but ever since then he's been hooked up and in nursery. So no one's been able to hold him and I haven't been able to nurse. I'm pumping in the meantime which is REALLY hard! I just have colustrum and my pump isn't doing a very good job of getting much of that out. Though apparently that's normal. Right now Collin's getting fed through a tube. They can't keep his belly too full because then he gets worked up and can't clear out his lungs. Theo and I were definitely thrown a curve ball with this little guy. Just wasn't expecting it all. I was able to get up and go to the nursery (via wheelchair) later last night to see him. We can't even really touch him cause then he gets worked up and they said the key is to get him to stay calm. Apparently he's peeing and pooping well though! The Pediatrician says that he will be okay, but we just don't know how long it'll take for him to be okay. I'm struggling because I haven't been able to hold my baby. I think he needs it. I think he also needs the breast milk. BUT....I am pumping some and what I do pump...he gets. So that's good. In a bit here I'm going to try and get up move around and hopefully go see him again. Meanwhile I'm also taking advantage of this and sleeping. Which feels SOOOOOO much nicer since I'm not pregnant. LOL As far as my healing. The scar bled VERY little and they've already taken the bandage off. They say it looks good. I can't see it yet. LOL I don't appear to have any other issues. Blood sugars seem to be okay, but I'm still on an IV. I'm on an IV filled with I don't actually know what. hahaha! But I'm also allowed to eat. Yesterday because I was so exhausted, I fought to keep my eyes open, I didn't eat very much. Plus everything still felt a bit weird on the inside. LOL! But this morning I had a very big breakfast of sliced ham, scrambled eggs, cereal, peaches and an english muffin! It was actually good. LOL!!!! Theo so lovingly spent the night with me. He didn't get great sleep because the sofa bed thingy they have is....well....not the best. haha! But he's been helping take care of me! I love him! Yesterday I was also very emotional. I also started shaking REALLY bad for a good deal after the c-section. They said it was my hormone levels going wack cause all the sudden I wasn't pregnant any more. LOL That was annoying but they did give me something to help with that. I did fight nausea all day yesterday. But today I'm a LOT better! Mom is doing well with Isaiah at home. Isaiah hasn't met Collin yet because he's not allowed in the nursery. Well....I'm not positive he's not allowed, but we're not taking him in there. And like I said, we'd have more pictures if he wasn't hooked up to all the tubes and etc. We do have some on our camera, but I don't have my uploading cord with me. I might try and get that at some point. SO! That's what's going on! It feels VERY un-natural to have no held my baby yet. After he came out in the OR he was crying and as soon as they put his check to mine he stopped! Which made me cry more. LOL!!!! He was just the sweetest thing I've ever seen! I'm so in love! So anyways, right now, we're just relaxing as much as we can. Me? My main goal today is to drink drink drink, eat and sleep. And then pump! :) Hopefully see C-Man more than once today! But gotta take things slow. Still not feeling 100% but REALLY good! Stay tunned! :)
So the update! Collin is doing a lot better. He is off the "elephant nose" and barely on oxygen. What little colostrum I could pump out he's drank! :) YaY! I'm struggling to get anything at all out at this point. I just need him to nurse. But he can't nurse until he stabilizes off oxygen. He's on very little as it is...but he's still on it. So he can't nurse. He's also tongue tied which is something we'll have to take up with his Pediatrician who's out of town til Monday. LOL! Anyways, tonight was my last night here. Unless miracles will happen and they'll let me stay a 4th night. I'm struggling to manage my pain. I want them to switch my medicine entirely. But so far they won't do it. I hate being in pain and spent the majority of yesterday sleeping. I'm tired of this hospital bed. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world. Anyways, they'll probably make me discharge today. Thankfully the nursery is open 24/7 so I can hang around in the hospital lounges and stuff and visit Collin. I don't think I'm emotionally capable of leaving Collin at the hospital while I go home. I just don't think at this point I can do it. What we really need is for him to get off oxygen. Once he's off that if he stabilizes for 24hrs after that he's pretty much free to go home. So basically that's what we're waiting for. He does so well when I hold him, but he's also on the biliruben blanket. So I can't hold him for long. He needs to stay on the blanket as much as possible to bring those levels down. So it's just a slow process. I'm afraid Theo's 10 days of leave will run out and we won't have any family time at home. :( Theo's spent a lot of time at the hospital with me. So that's nice. Last night he went home though. I think he needed some good sleep. Isaiah is happily hanging out with his GranMommy at home. Isaiah finally did get to meet his brother yesterday (9-10-11)for the first time. He touched his fingers and toes. And looked at him weird when Collin started crying. LOL!!!! The funnier thing was that Isaiah was WAY more interested in the other baby in the room. Who was tinnier and asleep. It was another boy. But Collin who was wide awake Isaiah didn't seem interested in hardly at all. It was pretty amusing. So anyways....that's the update. I'm just taking things as they come. Trying to stay positive.

Say Whaaa? A Limo?
Hahaha! So I figured I should probably blog this so that I'll remember. But I haven't had any big birthday's lately. I didn't do anything big for my 21st, 18th or 16th. I believe I did have a big sleepover birthday party for.....I think my 16th maybe. So that was something. But I've never done anything HUGE for my birthday! So I was thinking...well I've already hit 25....so maybe when I hit 30? I dunno. BUT....it'd be AWESOME to rent a Limo! I mean, really do it up big! Dress up real nice. Have my closest friends, hop in the limo and go somewhere great. I dunno where. But something that I've never done before. A fancy restaurant. Maybe, depending on where I am living at the time go to a big city. Like Detroit (the nicer part), NYC, Chicago. Something like that. Maybe go see a show. Oh man! It'd be cool to see Circ de Soleil! That'd be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool! So anyways, I'm just dreaming here. But it'd be really really awesome to really have a birthday where I live it up and get lots of presents. LOL It's been awhile since I've gotten LOTS of presents! hahaha! I think maybe I might be dreamin too much here. LOL! But it was just a thought I thought I should record! :)

My Accomplishments!
So I thought, since I'm so proud of myself, that I'd blog how much I did today! LOL! It's a big deal at this point that I get anything but watching Isaiah done. So, I'm going to list I think....everything I did. I'm not quite done yet, but I'm getting there! It's only 10:45pm. hahaha! I still have til at least mid-night! haha!
1) Made Mom's (the guest) bed. I would like to note that this was a HUGE challenge for me. It's put in the corner of the room, which means I have to lean over the bed to get to the corners. Uhm....yea.....I did the best I could. haha!
A)Put out towels for Mom
B)Set up the fan so Mom doesn't get hot. LOL
2)Re-Cleaned the kitchen.
A)Which includes dishes, counters, re-filtering water to put in fridge
B)Made some Raspberry Drink Mix
3)Cleaned out Fridge, uhm...not entirely. I just emptied out containers of spoiled food. lol
4)Sort through ALL the baby clothes/stuff that had piled on the dinning room table! There was enough stuff to cover the whole table. Phew!
5)Pack the new diaper bag! :)
6)Fold laundry! Well, I haven't actually gotten to that yet. That's next on the list! LOL!!!!!
So......see....that's not a ton...but for me? That's a TON! hahahaha! I am proud even if it's only 6 things. LOL

4 Days To Go......
So, only 4 more days! I am SO ready to meet little C-Man. Though I have a feeling he'll be Big C-Man, following in the footsteps of his brother. LOL! I am over half way through this long 4 day weekend I have to get through. Alone. I am very happy that Friday and Saturday flew by, but now that it's Sunday I feel like it's gonna drag on....and on and on. Plus, I think it's gonna be a rainy day which means, no outside play time. Which makes the day longer. Who knows! Maybe I'll take Isaiah out to McD's to play at the "Play Place". I've been trying to cut down our fast food in-take. I have to loose weight after Collin comes, and Isaiah's digestive system hasn't been quite right. So we've been eating regular meals at home. Go me for even having the energy to do it! We've eaten simple foods though. Like Eggoes, Peanut Butter & Jelly, cheese & crackers, last night I made some FABULOUS Spiral Mac N Cheese with Tuna. So it's simple stuff, but still healthier than fast food. Isaiah's been doing better with his digestive problems, so it's obviously mostly a fast food thing. I also need to limit his milk a bit. And the neighbors giving him cookies and etc. LOL!!! That's really a problem. hahaha! They spoil him rotten. LOL! So anyways....we're gonna have leftover mac-n-cheese today. Not sure what else. Although Isaiah's having a plain eggo and banana for breakfast. I was so sick/nauseas this morning around 6a.m. so I woke up and ate a plain eggo. I also took my indigestion meds. It was KILLING ME!!!!!!! I'm so over this! I didn't have this problem with Isaiah AT ALL! Anyways, I went back to sleep and woke up to Isaiah crying at his baby gate in his room. I HATE when he does that! He's fully capable of waking up and being nice and saying "Momma!" So I made him go back to bed. If he can't wake up nice then he obviously needs more sleep. There's no reason to wake up crying like that! It's SOOOO annoying and it makes me be in a bad mood. Anyways....so in these next two days I have to clean the bathroom, fold laundry, make Mom's bed and sort through all the clothes that are on the dinning room table. I'm waiting to clean the bathroom til last minute cause I want it cleanest when she gets here. So I'll probably do that Monday. Today, I'll fold and put away the laundry and hopefully sort through those clothes. *sigh* Our washer is currently unusable because it's backing up. So....I'm not sure how I'm gonna sort through the clothes and finish it all. I can sort, but I can't wash. So....I'll probably just sort and put in a big bag and wait to wash them. So anyways....I wanted to record a text in my blog. Sherrell Hendrix has been like some of THE most main positive support this pregnancy. I can always count on her to send me a text that seriously makes me laugh out loud. It's been SOOOO awesome. So the other day when I was having so much pressure pain, she sent me this text. LOL
Sherrell-Dear Collin, you BEST be about to make an appearance, I'ma need this to be the real thing this time brah. Love, Sherrell
I just seriously love her humor. LOL!!! And it's helped SO much to have someone who supports me with such positive support. And bonus....makes me laugh so hard. LOL! Helps to distract off of pain and etc. hahaha! So anyways, I guess that's it for now. Honestly, my brain is barely functioning these days....so I type as I'm thinking and just getting totally overwhelmed re-reading/editing. So I apologize if things don't flow so smooth or make much sense. LOL! In a matter of days hopefully my old un-pregnant brain will be back! LOL!!!

Here we are.....
So, here we are. In our last week of Gestation for Collin Henry! He will be here in 6 Days. Well....almost 5 actually! Mom is coming in less than that! 4 Days almost 3! It can't come fast enough. I am really on my last leg here. Hanging on a rope with one finger. My energy level is like -1 and I'm home alone with Isaiah for 4 days. Theo is working this weekend and he also has to work Monday. Mom won't be coming til Tuesday afternoon. Soooo......I'm just praying that God doesn't allow me to go into labor and that I can survive these days! Also....as a highlight to my struggling...hahaha...apparently we have a leak in our ceiling of the basement and the washer is apparently backed up and overflowed. So Theo told me I can't use the washer. Which SUCKS because I need to do laundry! So now I'm gonna have to probably go to a laundry mat with Isaiah. Lord help me! I think I'm going to just wash it and then bring it home to dry. I can't sit in a laundry mat all day. So anyways, that's the update. Soooo exciting! LOL! Can't wait til my baby boy is here! I really really really hope he has curly hair...a lot of it. My indigestion is TERRIBLE!!!! lol

A Pregnancy Frustration.....
I am SO grumpy and frustrated right now. I didn't sleep all night cause I was in pain. This pressure is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!! I had consistent contractions for 4 hours last night....then I went to bed. The contractions have stopped, but there's still cramping and enormous amounts of pressure. The thing that suck is that I can't sleep! If I could sleep really well it might be different. But I can't! Even while I sleep I feel the pressure. If this doesn't mean I haven't dilated more I'm going to scream! I need this kid out!!!!! I know I only have 9 more days, but STILL! If I can't sleep for any of those days....there's NO point!!!! Theo, of course isn't home. So I'm stuck home alone with Isaiah. I am literally at my whits end! :(

A Mother's Dream.....
So I thought I'd blog this. Because I'm sure in the future, I will look back on this and think it very entertaining! lol
So I was thinking this morning. After several efforts to sleep, about if I could have a wish...what would it be?! If I could just have the ideal day.....how exactly would it go?
Well, being that I'm 9mo pregnant and I have a 17mo son I'm sure you can guess at the top of that list is sleeping. But see,I wouldn't want to sleep the day away. I would LOVE one morning to wake up to quiet. Not to Isaiah either pounding on his baby gate or screaming "MUUUUUUUUMMMM" or crying! That in itself would just be SO nice! So this "ideal" day starts off waking up to quiet. Then I would roll over, prop myself up and reach for a working remote that turned on our working TV in our bedroom....that actually had cable. (basically there's a tv sitting there...but it has no cable, no remote and I don't even think it's plugged in)I would flip through the channels til I found something I liked. I would sit there for a bit, then pull out the laptop and check....you guessed it....my Facebook. After about 20min on FB, then a handsome young hot looking husband would bring me a hot breakfast in bed. Nothing special....just hot food that I didn't have to cook or get up and get, with a nice HUGE glass of pulp free orange juice! I would then devour my food. Of course at this point, I'm way past needing to empty my bladder. So I would then proceed to the bathroom and probably take a nice long shower. Uninterrupted by a little boy who always wants to join. Then I'd come back to bed and watch more tv. I might even stick a movie in the dvd player. (we have no dvd player here either) Then I'd doze off for a nap of about 2hours. I would be woken by the smell of a hot cooked lunch brought to me yet again, by a young hot husband. I would devour this meal as well. Then I'd pull out the laptop and play some useless games on Facebook. I'm sure at this point I'd definitely need a potty break, so I would then again, head off to the bathroom. Upon return, I'd come back to my bed turn on the tv and realize that a young hot husband has set a nice cup of hot tea and a little cake next to my bed. How thoughtful! I would spend the afternoon dozing off and on, watching tv, messing around on Facebook. Then for dinner....you guessed it....young hot husband would then make his appearance again with a trey filled with luscious food goodness for dinner. After stuffing my face for yet a 3rd time that day (wait....that's 4th after the tea and cake), I little clean boy would run in to give me "big hugs and lovvins" He would say "Momma!" and act like he missed me for more than 1 second. Then he'd nicely run out of the room. I would continue to watch tv and play on the laptop. Then around bedtime a hot young husband would join me in bed. We would do what hot young husband and wife do (wink wink), and we'd fall back asleep together....and live happily ever after!
Hahahahahaha! So right now....that day just sounds....Oh so sweet! I think I might like to add in there someone coming to massage my legs, feet, hands and arms....and maybe even back. I think that'd be nice. But....oh well. I do not live a fairy tale life. And as hard as it is sometimes, I wouldn't trade my little buggers (big and small) for any other buggers in the world! :)
